Handpainted cotton velvet dyed in Jaipur by hand printing artisans.
A process of pure craft:
To print the cotton velvet, printing artisans put manually the dyes on the printer screen, recreating the different patterns. Once the specific pattern has been created, it gets printed into the fabric to then let it dry for a few days.
Once patterned fabrics are dry, the sewing artisans craft the robes by using cotton for the interior and cotton velvet for the exterior, sewing both layers in a perfect seamless-free way so the robes are 100% reversible.
Each robe takes about 15 days to get done, from dyeing to getting the final product.
